Gus the Goose
IMPORTANT PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION
Recommended for children aged 3 years and over.
Gus is a plush product containing stitched, embroidered and attached components.
Although components are designed to remain securely attached, small components may present a choking or ingestion hazard if they become loose or detached as a result of damage, wear or misuse.
Before and during use:
- Always use with appropriate adult supervision.
- Remove all packaging, ties and unattached swing tags before giving Gus to a child.
- Regularly inspect Gus, including her seams, embroidered features and attached components.
- Do not allow continued use if Gus becomes torn or damaged.
- Immediately discontinue use if any component becomes loose or detached.
The 3+ age recommendation does not replace applicable Australian product-safety requirements. Gus should only be supplied once the finished manufactured product meets all mandatory safety requirements that apply to the product.
IMPORTANT — NOT FOR INFANT SLEEP
Gus is NOT an infant sleep product and should never be left in a baby's sleep space.
In accordance with Australian safer-sleep recommendations:
Do not place Gus in a cot, bassinet, portable cot or other infant sleep environment while a baby is sleeping — during the day or at night.
Soft toys and other soft or loose objects can cover an infant’s face or obstruct their airway and may increase the risk of suffocation.
For babies, safer-sleep guidance recommends a firm, flat and clear sleep surface with baby's head and face uncovered and no soft toys or other loose objects in the sleep space.
Always remove Gus from a baby's sleep environment before sleep.
Parents and caregivers should follow current Red Nose Australia and Queensland Health safer infant sleep recommendations.
Care
Gentle surface clean only unless otherwise stated on the sewn-in care label.
Allow Gus to dry completely before use.
Regularly check for signs of wear or damage.
Do not use if damaged.

Any reference to Gus being “snuggly”, a “companion” or suitable for a nursery refers to supervised use, play and display and does not mean she should be placed in an infant's cot or sleep environment.
